Old website data —

I got a laptop IDE adapter from my friend, with the intention of going through the laptop hard drives I have to see if I could find the one from my old ‘server’ (which was a laptop). I plugged in the one I thought was it, but it was only 8GB and wasn’t the right one. I know the one from the old server must be like 40GB or so since I had at one point installed Garry’s Mod on that laptop but I don’t have any drives that large. So no clue where it went, all the data from the old Kusaba site is still missing, maybe it’ll turn up one of these days.

Uptime record —

We had a power outage last night, at least long enough to knock my server and main computer offline. This ended my uptime record on this server, which had been on since December 11th, the previous time the power went out. That’s an uptime of 227 days. It could be longer if I had a UPS, but whatever, I had some Windows updates to install anyway.

Independence Day —

So the 4th went well. A friend and I went up to the reservation and spent several hundred dollars on illegal fireworks. I ended up having our whole Skype group over and we lit off fireworks and had a LAN party as well, it was pretty fun. We actually didn’t play that many games. We were in the middle of a match of Garry’s Mod when my Dad came in and let us know that the park just down the road was on fire. So like all 6 of us sprang into action, filled some buckets and ran down there and put the fire out. Some other neighbors also showed up with some fire extinguishers. I guess the story was that some kids were in the park (it was closed) and doing things like mortars without a tube, they split once the fire started. Anyway we got the fire out before the firefighters got there and it was probably the best 4th I’ve had.

Thing —

I added a little thing to the twitch.tv link on the left, now when I go live it should show a little message there. My Twitch is probably more active than this site.

20 thousand hits —

Wow that was fast.

Nothing —

I fixed the site hitcounter, it shouldn’t reset again. It’s probably still accurate within a thousand or so, I don’t know how many it’s missed in the little periods it’s been down.

Oh and I turned 21 a few days ago, so that’s cool I guess, I didn’t really do anything to celebrate. I don’t even think most people knew it was my birthday. I’m also graduating soon, which would be cool if I had a job lined up. It would be nice if I could find an aerospace job that wasn’t in fucking Missouri or Alabama or some place like that. You’d think, being in Washington, that Boeing would be hiring aeronautical engineers but I guess not. Hopefully I won’t end up having to move to the middle of nowhere just to find work in my field, I don’t see anything but misery if that happens.

Also someone posted a link to crazyfarmsexy on /a/. I don’t think they knew it changes every time you refresh the site though. If you’re reading this, you should try a permalink next time. Mostly I’m just impressed someone that wasn’t Google read the site.

10 thousand hits —

Just noticed a little bit ago that I hit 10,000 hits on my site some time ago. I set up the counter a little while after I redid my site. There’s no filtering or anything, so it just means the main part of the site was loaded 11k times. It’s still mostly search engine bots though, but maybe once a day or so I’ll get someone that doesn’t request robots.txt. I dunno, it’s not like I advertise or anything, but I’m still a little impressed it has this many.

It’s a little more weird that http://crazyfarmsexy.com has over 3k, because apart from one link on here I’ve never linked it to anyone. It’s a bit of a silly site though.

Oh also my spring break is over, at least I got a nice week off.

Added userstyles —

I posted some of the userstyles I’ve made to the projects page, maybe you’ll find them useful or something.

Busy —

Man, I remember I wanted to actually start making more posts or something since I upgraded the site, but that hasn’t happened. I’ve been busy with schoolwork for all this aero engineering stuff like 14+ hours a day and I don’t have time to deal with my shitty website that freezes all the time and nobody reads. Also if you know why my Apache freezes all the time and stops responding please let me know, I got nothing. The server itself is rock solid at least, up since Dec 19, 2014, the last time the power went out here.

I guess I stream a bit still, link to my Twitch channel is on the left. I want to like, do something with my site but I don’t know what.

A look at my access.log shows that my site is like 60% search engine spiders and 40% people trying to break into my Apache. The fact that my friends were surprised when I told them about something that had been on the front page of my site for two years really says it all that nobody reads it.

Maybe I need to advertise or something. Or get an RSS feed, do people (other than me) still use those?

I thought about doing a post on the anime that I’ve been watching but nobody I know watches or cares about that. Maybe when I’m done watching the series I’m currently watching.

I dunno man, I just wanted to try to post something. Now I’ve got to go to bed for 4 hours so I can spend the next ~16 hours at school because our preliminary design review is in a week and we’re totally behind on everything. This sucks.

Worst thing ever —
